Born Pretty Store: Shimmer Plaid Water Decals Review

Hello everyone!

I have for review today some plaid water decals from Born Pretty Store.  Water decals are great if you want quick, no fuss nail art

Let's take a look!

Color No. #F019

On the website, it says these are plaid pattern.  The plaid pattern is the other style available (F008).  These are argyle pattern.  There's 18 water decals total in this set.  This would give you roughly two full manicures if you used used one per nail.

Here's the example manicure using the decals:

Base color: OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls

Basic instructions on how to apply a water decal:

  • Paint your base color and let dry.
  • Trim out nail decal with scissors.
  • Immerse in water until the backing is wet.
  • Using wet fingers slide decal off backing and place onto your nail. Or use tweezers to peel off backing.
  • Let dry.
  • Seal with top coat.
Overall, water decals are very easy to work with. If you don't like the placement, you can move the decal around a little while it's still wet. With these decals, you can paint any number of designs to create any sort of unique manicure. This pack comes with enough water decals to make several different manicures. Also, the water decals can be easily removed with nail polish remover.  My only criticism with these decals was that they were hard to slide off the backing. I had to use tweezers to peel them off.

Please check out my video tutorial on how to apply these water decals.

  1. Pretty! I just usedc water slide decals for the first time ever and was surprised by how easy they were to use once I got the hang of them.

This is a pretty design, though <3 couldn't even tell just from the thumbnails that you hadn't painted them yourself

  2. Those turned out so pretty! The decals really pop over that white base too :)
